girl looking out window (Fly)When I was young, I dreamed

Of soaring through the skies.

I dreamt of wings and feathers

And birds way up high.

I would sit by my window

And watch the clouds drift by.

I’d close my eyes and wonder,

And in that moment, I’d fly.

*(Note: I wrote this after an English test during the time that we weren’t allowed to do anything else. It’s one of my few short poems, but it’s also one of my favorites.)
