Today’s Holiday: National Frozen Food Day

March 6, 2016.

*Note: I apologize, my sources told me the wrong date. This holiday is celebrated on March 5. Again, many apologies.*

Honestly, I celebrate this holiday almost every Saturday.

I love frozen food, and it serves as my lunch or dinner 25% of the week. In fact, a salsbury steak and mashed potatoes frozen meal is my dinner today.

What’s funny is this holiday actually has history. In 1984, Ronald Reagan signed Proclamation 5157, which made this an official U.S. holiday. With his signature, he stated,

“Now, Therefore, I, Ronald Reagan, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim March 6, 1984, as Frozen Food Day, and I call upon the American people to observe such day with appropriate ceremonies and activities.”

Pretty cool, huh?

So, yeah. Today’s a great day to heat up a frozen meal and enjoy it however you might! I definitely will be!

Have a wonderful day of celebration!
