Today’s Holiday: Leap Year Day

February 29, 2016.

Let me start off by saying happy birthday to everyone who was born on leap year!

You only get a birthday every four years, so I think it’s worth giving an extra shout out to. (Wink wink, smiley face)

Blow out your candles and make a wish!!!

So today is leap year day. And I’m just going to get this out of the way now, today is not about frogs.

Yeah… When I was little, I honestly thought leap year was about frogs. Don’t ask why, I have no clue. If you’ve read any of my other posts, you’ve probably figured out by now that I never make any sense.

Seriously, though! Today should be a day to celebrate leaping frogs!

Or, even better, everyone could celebrate today by leaping like a frog everywhere they go!

Imagine it!

Okay, maybe that would be a bit much…

But that’s one possibility for celebrating today! You know, if you don’t know anyone who was born on leap year… Cause if you know someone who was born on leap year, it’d be a good idea to celebrate their birthday.

They only get a real birthday every four years, after all.

Otherwise, don’t forget that, this year, there aren’t 365 days! There’s 366! And if somebody tells you otherwise at any point this year, today is your proof that you’re right and they’re wrong!

So spend today in celebration of a slightly longer year and a day that normally doesn’t exist! It’s an intriguing and awesome day, to say the least!

Have a wonderful day of celebration!

P.S. Why the heck is it called leap year when this is the year we don’t skip over today?
