This is actually a really important holiday, set up by the United Nations themseleves.

I don’t have much time to talk about it (It’s a show day, so I gotta get to practice! (If you were wondering why there were next to no posts yesterday, yesterday was a show day as well), so here’s the basics!

The purpose of today is to “promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism”, according to un.org. So, I guess the best way to celebrate today is to try to learn a bit of another language.

I’m not multilingual, not even close, but I knew a decent amount of Spanish. I took three years of it, eight grade to sophmore year, and I got pretty good at it.

However, after not taking it for two years, I’ve forgotten a bit. Or a lot… I just don’t remember much.

So I think today, I’ll try to brush up on it. I won’t be fluent, but at least I’ll know a bit. I think that’s a good way to celebrate today.

You should do the same! And if you choose not to, I hope you find another great way to celebrate today!

Have a wonderful day of celebration!
